DP: I focus on versatility and visual appeal. A watch must look good, as it will be worn on your wrist daily. It must be a great investment piece that has some emotional attachment. Be innovative, sleek and classy. And be able to gracefully transition from stage to dinners to yachting.
Why all the hoopla about just some new watch? Because it is so different. The combination of price + market distinction make it an important watch industry piece in my humble opinion. While many unique watches exist out there, so few have the type of broad appeal that I think Temption was able to bestow upon the Cameo.

One of your fellow readers recently purchased a watch that he was so passionate about, he spontaneously wrote a short review of it and I thought it was worth sharing with you. This is especially due to the good value of the watch, and that it is a relatively unknown US based watch company. The brand is Bernhardt watches that is based out of North Carolina. They have an impressive line of watches that use everything from quartz to mechanical movements of Swiss or Japanese origin. This specific model is near the top of their line. While it does have a conservative good look to it, it is anything but generic. While two different watches are pictured, the Globemaster model that my reader is referring to is the black diver's bezel version. This is a rare type of watch because it has a GMT hand complication, but a rotating diver's bezel instead of a 24 hour bezel (as seen on the other pictured model). It is important to note that movement inside is not your standard ETA GMT movement. Bernhardt took an ETA 2826 movement and modified it with a GMT complication. The standard ETA 2836 has a day and date complication, but that was removed to make for a GMT hand that jumps to each hour. Pretty clever.
Out of all the flowers out there - and believe, there are many - Perrelet went with the Lotus Flower. I believe, given their history of manufacturing watches for women, that this was the perfect selection. As the Lotus Flower traditionally represents sexual purity - virtue - divine beauty - and most importantly - the expansion of the soul.
The major change with the 3-Timer for the Linde Werdelin line of watches is that it represents a stepping back from the aggressive looks to something more simple and classic. In what feels like a thematic homage to the Rolex Explorer, the face of the 3-Timer is "held back," emphasizing only what is necessary. Despite the smallish size of the hour indicators they should prove to be quite visible in the dark due to Linde Werdelin's typical use of C3 Super LumiNova luminant. The case is 46mm wide by 49mm tall. The case is very thin at 12mm thick. You also get 300 meters of water resistance.
